As you may have heard, I recently joined the Greenwave executive leadership team to assist with propelling Greenwave into the next phase of growth and to further cement our position as an IoT industry leader. My role as chief scientist and technology evangelist is a new hybrid position designed to augment the inherently symbiotic relationship between science and innovation. Over the past two decades, I have had the opportunity to effect change through a series of roles, including founder, fellow, CTO, Chief Architect and tech evangelist. My journey started thanks to my passion for home automation; it has evolved to include all things IoT. Throughout my career, I have been driven by a “whatever it takes” mindset in the pursuit of usable and useful technology advancements that will help make the world a better place to live our lives.
As Greenwave’s chief scientist, I will ensure that the key elements and concepts of our platform are woven into a seamless fabric that third parties can easily build with, in, on and around. As technology evangelist, I will work to show as many people as possible — product and service companies, early adopters, and consumers who are new to IoT —how IoT technology can make life better and more satisfying.
One of the great things about being new to Greenwave yet seasoned in IoT is my ability to see the company with fresh eyes and work with the team here to increase our marketshare as the adoption of smart things skyrockets in the coming months and years. I can say without a doubt that 2014 is shaping up to be an exciting year in IoT and that Greenwave is poised to become an exceptionally strong leader in this rapidly growing space. Both the Greenwave360 business model and the underlying platform technology here are nothing short of disruptive. At this point, the job is to execute a strong B2B enablement plan to enhance the value of everything we put our software into. When it comes to IoT, we mean business.
If you’re interested in IoT-related technology topics, I invite you to connect with me on LinkedIn or engage with me at @theiotguru. I am always looking to expand my knowledge base and to share what I know with others so that we push this industry forward.
